“ I and my wife have taken our Corolla and Tundra to the service department at Mungenast Alton Toyota for the last several years. During that time, I have found all of the individuals with which I've dealt to be professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and great communicators. I have lost count of the number of times that the service advisors and technicians have gone out of their way to save me and my wife time and money. For example, shortly after purchasing our Corolla, we realized the front brake rotors were warped. Instead of wanting to simply sell a brake job and 'throw parts' at the situation, Mike (service advisor) suggested we have the rotors resurfaced. We were able to save money and drive for several thousand more miles with the re-surfaced rotors, thanks to Mike's suggestion. Several months ago, we purchased a new set of tires from Mungenast for the Corolla. Recently, a bubble appeared on the sidewall of one of the tires, most likely due to me hitting a large pothole at night on one of the highways in St Louis. Because this is an extremely dangerous situation, I removed the tire and put the emergency spare tire on and drove it straight to Mungenast. Instead of blaming the damaged tire on my driving habits or the pothole, Brian (service advisor) simply stated, "I'll see what I can do." He ended up completely replacing the tire free of charge. Also, without even being asked, Brian noticed that we had an appointment later in the week for service, and had the technician perform the scheduled service during the same visit, saving us a great deal of time. When I picked up the vehicle, I noticed the technician had also gone the extra mile and placed the spare tire and tire-change tools back in their compartment under the trunk floor without being asked. This level of professionalism, knowledge, and customer service, not only from Brian and Mike, but from all of the service advisors and technicians at Mungenast is what I have experienced on a regular basis for the last several years. I've lost count of the number of times that I have been gently discouraged from getting unnecessary maintenance done (even though the maintenance manual states a maintenance procedure is due to be done, the service advisors rely on the technicians' assessments of the vehicle instead for determining when a maintenance procedure should be done), encouraged in a non-pushy way to get procedures done that will legitimately contribute to our vehicles' longevity and performance, and offered programs and discounts that have saved me a great deal of time and money compared to if I had taken my vehicles elsewhere. If you're like me, and genuinely care about getting the most out of your vehicles (which are no small investment these days), only want a certified Toyota technician doing maintenance and repairs on your vehicles, and want to go to a service department where all the personnel stand by their work and seem to genuinely want to save you time and money and keep your vehicle in optimum condition, I wouldn't hesitate to take your vehicle to Mungenast Alton Toyota. ”
